  3. AOR-IP-120-CU
  4. AOR-IP-160-CU

Fasteners

The AOR-IP Command units can be surface mounted or flush mounted, as the particular installation circumstances and wall construction may vary the mounting hardware is not included with the AOR-IP command units.  The following table identifies the quantity and size of fasteners needed.  The type of fastener is left to the installer to determine based on the construction of the wall or mounting surface.

Cabling

The AOR-IP-CU series requires only (1) CAT5e or better Ethernet cable be run from the Command Unit to appropriate IDF or other location housing the included Midspan PoE injector, that is connected to a code complaint UPS.  There are standard 0.5" and 0.75" knockouts on the back and bottom of  the AOR-IP command units.
Local codes must be followed in relation to fire rated cabling or conduit, and location of the Network equipment, UPS and PoE Injector
  1. Once the appropriate cabling and conduit is determined and pulled to the AOR-IP command unit, connect the Ethernet cable to the PoE/Data port of the PoE extractor that is mounted in the upper corner of the cabinet.
  2. From the PoE extractor there will be a single Ethernet cable for the Master Station, and power cable(s) for the Master Station, and depending on the specific model, for the second Expansion button module.  Connect the Ethernet cable to the Data port of the PoE extractor, and the LAN Port of the Master Station Phone.
  3. Connect the barrel connector(s) for power to the Master Station and if present the second expansion button modules.
  4. Slide the Master station onto its mounting bracket on the upper left of the Mounting panel.
  5. Connect the USB cable from the master Station to the first Expansion Button Module.  If there is more then one Module connect the second USB cable to the first Expansion Button Module and slide the Module into the mounting bracket.  If there is a second Expansion Button Module be sure and connect the barrel connector for power to the second Expansion Button Module, and the USB cable from the the first Expansion Button Module.  If a third and fourth Expansion Button module are included continue connecting the USB cables, and placing the Modules into the mounting brackets.
  6. At the other end of the Ethernet cable that comes into the AOR-IP Command Unit, connect the cable to the Data/PoE port of the included midspan PoE injector
  7. Connect another Ethernet cable from the Data port of the midspan PoE injector, and the other end to the network switch.
  8. Connect the included power supply to the 24v Ac.Dc input of the PoE injector, this is not polarity sensitive.  Connect the power supply to a standard 120vac outlet or UPS as required by local codes.
If a UPS is required by Code Talkaphone offers models appropriately sized to power the IP-AOR-CU for 4(AOR-IP-UPS-CU-4H) or 24(AOR-IP-UPS-CU-24H) hours.   This does not include powering the network equipment or the call stations.   Power consumption for the call stations can be provided to assist with determining the proper size UPS needed for the network equipment and the call stations
