  1. Introduction

Model ETP-EL is a 120VAC outdoor-rated Blue Light, which is lit at all times to draw attention to the location. The Blue Light flashing can be activated by Talk-A-Phone emergency phones or by third party devices that provide a dry contact closure or relay output.

  1.              Power requirements

ETP-EL: 96-132VAC, 7.8 Watts (35A peak inrush)

  1.             Mounting

If installing the Blue Light in a Talk-A-Phone phone mount, such as an ETP-MT mounting tower, follow the instructions included with that mount.  Alternatively, remotely mount the Blue Light to a 4” square conduit box using an ETPMBKT mounting bracket.  Screws are included with the mount or bracket.  The ETP-EL is designed to be mounted in an upright position with the base at the bottom of the unit.

  1. Wiring

The ETP-EL (polycarbonate base) Blue Light can be connected to the 120VAC output voltage of the power source (shown in Figure 1). The ETP-EL (aluminum base) Blue Light can be connected to the 120VAC output voltage of the power source, while grounding the green wire (shown in Figure 2).

  1. Connecting to Emergency Phone

When using the Blue Light with ETP-400/ETP-500/ETP-520 Series Emergency Phones, connect the orange and black auxiliary control cable pair of the Blue Light to the orange and black wires of the Emergency Phone. Refer to the Emergency Phone Manual for information regarding the programming of your phone.

When using the ETP-EL Series Blue Light with VOIP-500/VOIP-600 Series Emergency Phones, connect the orange and black auxiliary control cable pair of the Blue Light to positions 3 and 4 (Aux. Output 2) of the 6-pin connector plug of the VOIP-500/VOIP-600 Series Phone.
