How To Configure the AVM-1 (GXV3370) and the VOIP-22X (with IP Camera) - Peer To Peer

This knowledge article describes the setup of the AVM-1 (GXV3370) and the VOIP-22X (With IP Camera) in a peer-to-peer environment:

Assumptions
  • Technician has fundamental knowledge in computer networking and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technologies is recommended for understanding this manual.
  • Technician has access to the AVM-1, IP Camera and the VOIP-22X Call Station
  • Customer network allowing RTP and SIP on the network segment the AVM-1, VOIP-22X and IP Camera units are connected to. There is no particular order that the devices need to be configured but the suggested config steps are below.
  • The AVM-1 (GXV-3370) is on at least firmware version  1.0.3.30, older versions do not display the video stream correctly.

Configure Peer-to-Peer Calling on VOIP-220 Series Device:
1.  Log into the VOIP-22X using any current browser (Factory default IP192.168.1.10 Username: admin Password: alphaadmin )
2.  Click on the SIP Configuration tab, Account / Call should already be selected.

3.  In the Name field enter a descriptive name for the device.

4.  In the Number (SIP ID) enter the IP address of the VOIP-22X that you are currently programming. If we use the default IP address as an example that would be 192.168.1.10.

5.  Click the Save Button.

6.  The device will load to a summary page, click the BACK TO CONFIG PAGE button.

7.  Click on Direct Access Keys on the left side of the window.

8.  If this VOIP-22X is only calling to one AVM-1, we will enter 200@ipaddressOfAVM-1 in next to input 1 in the empty box between Idle:Call To and No Ringlist.  If the AVM-1 is at its defualt IP address we would enter 200@192.168.1.200.

9.  If the VOIP-22X needs to call multiple AVM-1 then we change the No Ringlist Dropdown to select one of the Ringlists below. In that ringlist enter each of the AVM-1 in the format of SIP ID@IP Address.  If you would like all the devices to ring simultaneously, mark the With Previous check box next to each line you have entered.

10.  Click on the Main tab at the top.

11.  Click on Main Settings on the left.

12.  Enter the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway and DNS as required for the customers network.
