How to find out the IP Address acquired by the VOIP-500/VOIP-600 IP Call Stations from the DHCP server using Serial connection?

Requirements:
Serial connection to the VOIP-500 or VOIP-600
FTP server that supports receiving files via ftpput.  Filezilla will support this
Power supply or POE switch
Network connection to VOIP-500 or VOIP-600.

Procedure:
1.  Connect a straight-through serial cable (DB9 Male to DB9 Female) from the serial port on the phone to an available COM port on the PC, noting which port was utilized.
2.  Open your preferred serial console application (e.g., HyperTerminal or TeraTerm) on the PC and specify the following settings:
Communications Port: <Determined in Step 1>
Baud rate (bits per second): 115200
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None
3,  Once connected, you will be presented with the following prompt:
  1. root:/>
4. On the root prompt enter the 'ifconfig' command and press enter. The Ethernet link settings will be displayed on the console window.
