Talkaphone VOIP-500/VOIP-600 Integration with E2Campus Mass Notification platform
Here are the integration steps for e2campus and Talkaphone. e2campus recently upgraded their interface. I've included both sets of instructions below. Please don't hesitate to give me a call if you have any questions.
e2campus (older interface)
- Log into e2Campus.
- Under Network tab, change status for Voice Cast to Enable if it is not already active.
- Enter the caller ID for Voice Cast.
- Enter the phone numbers for the Talkaphone units to call. Each number must be on its own line.
- For the Voice Call Preamble menu, select the pre-recorded DTMF audio code. Use http://www.audiocheck.net/audiocheck_dtmf.php to record the DTMF code.
- For the Voice Call Postamble menu, select the pre-recorded audio message to play.
- Change Auto Hangup After Play to YES.
e2campus (newer interface)
- Log into e2campus
- Under Endpoints / Inactive, change the status for Voice Cast if it is not already active.
- Under the Recordings tab, upload the pre-recorded DTMF audio code. Use http://www.audiocheck.net/audiocheck_dtmf.php to record the DTMF code.
- Under the Configuration tab, enter the caller ID for Voice Cast.
- Enter the phone numbers for the Talkaphone units to call. Each number must be on its own line.
- For the Voice Call Preamble menu, select the pre-recorded DTMF audio code.
- Optional - For the Voice Call Postamble menu, select the pre-recorded audio message to play.
- Change Auto Hangup After Play to YES.
Talkaphone Settings
- Log into the appropriate Talkaphone unit.
- Click VoIP.
- Click Paging Settings. Leave the default settings as is unless otherwise noted.
- Select paging output: Line Level Output.
- Output Gain: 19
- Automatically activate paging for inbound phone calls: No. For troubleshooting purposes, set this to Yes to verify the PAS is wired correctly.
- Check Key code to activate paging during an inbound phone call is. Enter the key code you'd like to use into the box. This must be the same key code for all Talkaphone units!
- Check all options under Automatically Auxiliary Output on the activation of paging.
- Click Apply.
- Click Authentication. For troubleshooting purposes, all of these options should be unchecked.
- Enter your access code for the Guard Access Code. This must be the same access code for all Talkaphone units!
- Check Speaker and Microphone control during call.
- Check Voice Messages.
- Check Aux. Output Activation/Deactivation.
- Click Apply.
