Unable Make Outside Call on AOR-5 or AOR-10 Series System.

1. Is the outside line status light turning on?
No:
Does the line have working Dial tone? If yes proceed to the next step.  If no , then address issue with the phone line first.

A. Check to make sure the phone line is connected to the PSTN terminals.

B.  Complete the fault Detection Configuration for AOR-CSE Stations and PSTN Line again.
Be sure the hook switch is either hung-up, or the disconnected from the main board, this is the purple and purple/white pair.

In the lower-right of the controller, there is an orange-red configuration button.
press and hold the orange-red button for three (3) seconds—the LED will flash rapidly. When the LED turns solid, release the orange-red button. You will hear a beep to confirm that configuration has been completed.

C.  Program the AOR-5/10 to use the outside line,  Go off hook, on a phone connected to SUBC-1, SUBC-2, or call in on the remote line.
You should hear 1 tone when the AOR-5/10 answers.   If this is not heard when calling in from the remote line double check the connection to the PSTN line terminals.  If no tone is heard from the sub command units then double check the connection to the respective SUBC-1 or SUBC-2 terminals.
Enter *31** for access to programming, wait for the single tone.
Enter *62* wait for the single tone in confirmation, then  hang-up

Try placing a phone call from one of the call stations again, is the status light for the outside line coming on? If no start at the beginning again.

If yes:
Was Dial tone heard from the call station?
If no, investigate issues with phone line.
If yes, and the call station doesn't dial, try reprogramming the call station.

If yes, and the call goes through then then the issue has been resolved.
