Wiring Specifications for Analog WEBS
Analog WEBS (Models WEBS-ZPS and/or WEBS-ZPM-9) has the following requirements:
- The system requires home-run wiring (one (1) pair for 12V trigger and one (1) twisted shielded pair for audio) from the WEBS-ZPS to the WEBS endpoint.
- The WEBS-ZPS has a relay driver circuit to turn on the amplifier in the tower. The relay driver circuit is rated up to 100mA @12VDC. The WEBS-VCU will draw at least 20mA @ 12VDC. There should be ample power available to drive an additional relay with a similar load.
- The twisted shielded audio pair should be under 5,700 ft. on communications-grade (24AWG or better) cable. Only the paging controller end (source side) should be grounded. In order to avoid noise on the line, it is recommended that audio cable not be run in the same conduit as digital or power lines.
